I have recently got back from realistic landscapes to more abstract paintings. I create abstract art to examine my love for nature and landscape and how those landscapes interact with my memory and imagination. There is a whole mixture of emotions and memories coming to my head, which I paint. Painting, for me, is very therapeutic. I can take days to paint a canvas and to be able to understand myself, but sometimes I cannot stop myself from painting, just like an obsession. I often start my work by running watery acrylic paint to my canvas, using lines, followed by abstract forms and textures.

I feel like some of my abstract works look like maps.
